Farrah Abraham, Marnie Simpson, Irish pop duo Jedward, YouTuber Elliot Crawford, Australian drag star Courtney and London boy band alum Casey Johnson will star in ‘Single AF.’
MTV International has greenlighted Single AF, a social-first format that will help celebrities find love.
It will play out across MTV’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat accounts over two weeks in June/July before leading into an on-air series in November.
“Single AF will take celebrities on a live social quest for love around the world that fans can follow and weigh in on over social,” the Viacom unit said. “The catch? The singles must be up for anything and willing to play the dating game ‘the MTV way’.”
Among the featured personalities are MTV’s Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, Irish pop duo Jedward, MTV U.K.’s Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson, English YouTube star Elliot Crawford, Australian drag star Courtney and London boy band alum Casey Johnson.
MTV International promises to dare them to look for love in unconventional ways they’ve never tried before. “The singles will face everything from bizarre love theories (e.g., “Can you date someone who looks like your mother?”) to asking their followers to make suggestions on who to date and even participate in the game on social,” it said.
At the end of the two weeks of traveling the world and dating, each of the seven will take their top date to an exclusive European villa and spend time together as a group to further explore whether they have met their match.
Fans can follow and weigh in on their dating journeys at @MTVsingleAF and #MTVsingleAF from June 26 to July 10.
The show is produced by Gobstopper TV.
