Married former glamour model Katie Price insists that he’s sent flirty text messages, a dispute which threatened to end his relationship with Olivia Attwood.
But Chris Hughes, 25, says he and his Love Island girlfriend, 26, are stronger than ever, as the feud with the mum-of-five, 39, rages on.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline this week, the hunk confessed to ‘overcoming barriers’ in his relationship but now reveals marriage is on the cards.

‘We’ve overcome barriers’: Chris Hughes reveals he and Olivia Attwood are stronger than ever as Katie Price feud rages on
He said: ‘Our love is strong. I feel like we get stronger each day. We’ve overcome barriers here and there, which is natural in a relationship.
‘We were kind of obsessed with each other so it’s gone from strength to strength. We loved each other in the villa but now we’re in love so it’s switched it up a bit.’
The lovebirds moved in together a week after they left the villa in third place.

In early October, Chris and Olivia appeared to go on a break when the television hunk exposed a number of flirtatious texts from Katie on social media.
While he denied responding, pin-up Katie hit back and claimed to have ’52 screenshots’ of his equally raunchy replies.
But reality star Chris is keen to put the dispute behind him, saying he is ready to take the next step with Olivia.
He explained: ‘At the end of next year I’m going to get married. I don’t know when I’m going to propose.
‘I want a kid at the end of next year as well. I’ll be 25 by then, just before my 26th birthday next year, and when my kid is about 15 I’ll be 40.

‘When we go to the park and kick around a football in the park, I won’t injure my knees! I’ve got it all planned.’
He concedes that living with Olivia has not all been plain sailing, yet he is repaidly becoming ‘house trained’.
Chris continued: ‘It’s me pulling my weight. I’m not very good at washing up or cooking and generally I’m quite messy.
‘I’m actually quite lazy – very lazy, in fact. I think that’s what has taken a long to adapt to. We are getting there. I’m becoming house trained.’

Since leaving Love Island, Chris has teamed up with his co-star Kem Cetinay to release their very own rap single Little Bit Leave It.
Though they’d entered the reality show looking for girlfriends, they ended up winning the hearts of the nation with their bromance.
The single has been runaway success, reaching the number one spot in iTunes within days of its release.
Of the triumph, Chris said: ‘When it went to number one, it was obviously a good feeling.’

Of his friendship with Kem, he added: ‘I came out of Love Island, we had about a week apart and then we have been filming every day since. I’ve been with him the whole time!’
As well as causing a stir in the music industry, Chris brought his wonderful spirits to Ascot.
It was a dream come true for the Love Island star who met his idol jockey Frankie Dettori ahead of QIPCO British Champions Day on October 21.
Of the sport, he said: ‘I’ve grown up round horse racing, I even worked at a race show for a bit. But all my friends are in that circle.’
