The ousted Fox News host’s son was 19.
Eric Chase Bolling, son of ex-Fox News host Eric Bolling, was found dead Friday night in Boulder, Colorado.
“Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated,” he said on his Twitter account.
Bolling also wrote: “Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. Autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.”
“The matter is currently under investigation,” an officer with the Boulder police department stated. No details are being released at this time.
The news comes just hours after news broke that Fox had decided to part ways with the elder Bolling. The Specialists host had been suspended in August after HuffPost reported that he sent lewd text messages to colleagues.
“We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son. Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family,” Fox News said in a statement.
Eric Chase Bolling was a student at the University of Colorado Boulder. He was 19.
