The actor talked with Teen Vogue about what Jughead will be going through this season and he kind of ends up a “bad boy”.
“Jughead ends up joining the Serpents and he gets wrapped up in this world that forces his hand, forces him to play the game — which is something in season one he had a real aversion to,” Cole shares.
“He ends up getting into a lot of trouble because of it. … He ends up a bit more of a damaged kid. He’s a lot angrier than he was in season one. He ends up coming off as kind of a … not necessarily to say a bad boy, but way more angry, which I also think is a fundamentally key experience.”
That can only mean trouble, for him and everyone around him.
“He gets himself into a lot of trouble because of his loyalty and honor to his family and friends, and it begins to make him question where his allegiance lies and what that means for his character — if it means stepping back again or if it means putting a foot back in.”
Riverdale returns on Wednesday, October 11th @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW.
